Do I agree with the war in Iraq? Well, I don't really know. Most of the information I get is filtered and biased to one viewpoint, whether from Fox News or the BBC. I want to believe that the US government has information that I don't, and talking to some friends who are serving in the Middle East supports this. The previous regime was not a very good one, and many bad things committed are not being reported. But the question I struggle with is whether poor governence is justification for toppling a soverign state.

What I do know is that the US suffered much harsh criticism for her inaction in the past. In just the past decade, America was lamblasted for not doing more to prevent atrocities in Somalia, the Balkans, Zaire, etc. A simple internet search will show that much of the criticism came from the same countries that now oppose the US action in Iraq. And when the US does take action, she is called a "bully" and demonized. Perhaps the world too easily forgets its cries for the US to use her mighty military to invade a soverign country and depose its government. Is the US, in all her influence and power, to be a tool controlled by Europe, or the UN? Should an action which is domestically popular be halted because foreign populations, to which the US government is not accountable, do not like it? Just to note, the action in the Balkans was also not authorized by the UN, yet I never heard "The Guardian" or "Le Monde" villifiy the US for it. The burden of maintaining world stability has fallen almost solely on the US, as most other countries have abdicated that responsibility, either through lack of will or lack of capabilities. To demand that the US to protect the world while criticizing the manner in which she does it is nothing less that ingratitude and hypocrisy.

First of all, I, as an American, thought it was a terrible thing to do as far as bringing down the Berlin Wall. The Germans started 2 World Wars in the last century, so why did the World community take their foot off of Germany's throat by reuniting those peices of shit. The Germans are the equivilent to the "rats and rodents" in the "Pied Piper of Hamlin", they are easily led and they cannot think for themselves. PS... I saw a movie where a Frenchman was having sex with a swine and a man dressed in a German uniform (with a Swastika...Remember them) was standing close by masturbating.
